Bride's sandals with rhinestones, Connecticut wedding

Jared and Kayla's happy New England winter wedding

Jared proposed to Kayla with a giant plastic ring he got out of a vending machine.

When asked shortly before their wedding when they knew the other person was right for them, Kayla said "I'm just winging it" and Jared said "I'm still not sure I know."

They described their wedding style as 'laid back' and the thing they both loved about the other was their sense of humor.

When two comedians get together to plan a winter wedding, it turns out it will be beautiful, but also - as promised - laid back. Kayla was a happy easygoing bride who laughed easily. Jared was an organized groom who worked hard to give Kayla more reasons to smile.

They had their first look in the sunroom of Jared's mom's house and braved the cold for portraits in the back yard and later at the shore of Crystal Lake. Their reception featured The Pavilion at Crystal Lake's signature blazing donuts and more salsa dancing than Middletown, Connecticut has probably seen in a year.
